The Healing Power of Spring

The cold winters gradually pass away as spring makes an exquisite entrance, giving vitality to plants and animals. You must also remove any evidence of the receding winter from your house to welcome spring. In all its hues, spring’s freshness should be allowed to enter.

Begin by putting away all of your winter accessories: winter blankets, sweaters, mittens, boots, and hats into boxes or into your attic. If you still have some Christmas decorations sitting around, box them up and save them for your next winter event.

Bring in more vibrantly colored tablecloths, placemats, and towels. Put away the winter sets. Pack your thick winter blankets and bring in thinner and lighter spreads to fit the season’s crispness. Replace all of the darker and duller interiors with brighter ones.

Allow the fresh air and light of spring into your house by opening all of the curtains and windows when the weather warms. This will assist you in eliminating the use of artificial lighting and heating equipment during the winter. Instead, the sun’s light and heat naturally keep your house warm and bright!

Put away the powerful air fresheners and scented candles as well. Instead, bring some fresh flowers and fruits into the house to keep the air fresh and calming. For a warmer ambiance, choose lighter and more natural home fresheners. The stronger fragrances are only appropriate for the long, gloomy winters.

As a result, de-winterizing your house isn’t all that tough. It takes a few basic and easy alterations within your house to adapt to the changing environment outside. Taking care of them might assist you in fully embracing nature’s lovely season.

Spring is a Time for Renewal

Spring is almost here, and summer is just around the corner. It is a period of transition in many respects and a time to readapt in others.

Great weather is on the way, the plants are reviving, and the animals are waking up to retake their summer territory. People emerge from their winter slumber and examine their lives during this renewal period, an ambition of thinking in search of the good, bad, and maybe ugly realizations of their lives. They examine their current position and brainstorm solutions to enhance their lives.

After all, it is spring, and nothing is more lovely, though some argue that autumn is more beautiful. To each their own, but I like to wear fewer layers rather than bundle up in restricting layers of clothing! Roll on spring, roll on summer.

The Spring Equinox

It’s finally here! The Spring Equinox! A mysterious connection between the Earth and the Universe. But what exactly does this mean? Let’s start with some fundamental astronomy. Although the Earth indeed revolves around the sun, it looks like the inverse is occurring. The sun seems to move around the Zodiac’s twelve signs, and it crosses the equator twice a year. The Spring and Autumnal Equinoxes are where these two equinoxes meet.

The sun crosses the equator from south to north around March 20 or 21. Spring has arrived in the Northern Hemisphere, including Europe and North America. In southern hemisphere nations, such as Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand, they are in the midst of autumn.

The hours of day and night are equal on the day of the Spring Equinox, no matter where you reside on Earth. After the Spring Equinox, the days in the Northern Hemisphere get longer and reach their maximum length at the Summer Solstice, which occurs at the end of June. But, of course, the reverse is true in the Southern Hemisphere.

The days begin to decrease again after the summer solstice. The Autumnal Equinox, which occurs at the end of September, is the second occasion in the year when night and day are equal. After that, autumn begins, and the days get shorter and shorter until they reach their shortest length at the Winter Solstice, which occurs around December 21.

An Excellent Time to Cleanse

Spring is the time of year when fresh growth bursts out, as well as the waking of your new desires, which originate from the winter’s rest and regeneration. It is also a season of fresh beginnings and equilibrium. The spring equinox marks a change in the balance of day and night, and as the equinox approaches its arrival, it approaches near-perfect equilibrium.

A very powerful and rapid shift in the scales brings forth a distinct new transition. With that new equilibrium, there is also a point of chaos. This new alignment is often an abrupt change that may leave us feeling unsteady and uncertain of our steps or as if the rug is being pulled out from under us.

You may or will soon begin to feel substantial energetic changes during the following several weeks, as spring’s tremendous energy frequently does. The key is to base your energies daily. Send those grounding threads from your feet and tailbone to the heart of the Earth. You may also ground yourself by going on a walk or trek outside.

Spring is a season of fresh beginnings. It is time to sow the seeds of our aspirations and feed the soil (the activities) that will help us achieve our objectives. Then, the element of wood energy takes over; its energy travels below and upward, much like the earliest saplings of green plants. It’s an explosive moment. The hues of green and other vivid jewel tones of spring’s blooms are all around us as we begin to watch the planet awaken from its slumbering sleep into a reawakening of life. It is a period of renewal. To participate in this energy,

  • Add obvious evidence of development and vigor to your house by repainting a wall, mending broken furniture, or replacing winter hues with accent colors of different shades of greens or other brilliant jeweled colors seen in spring’s buds.
  • As you open the doors and windows, let the seasonal breezes dance softly into your surroundings to create a sense of freshness.
  • As you spring clean, replace winter items with a tall cylinder-shaped vase (this form typifies spring’s energy) filled with fresh, tall stemmed flowers, and watch the magic of creativity and productivity take hold. Clean, cleanse, and let go.

Ideas to Bring in Spring Energy

1. Cleaning is a blessing. Cleaning has a spiritual sense; the source of the term “clean” suggests purity, which is associated with an oil anointing process. As a result, you are blessing your house when you do your spring cleaning. You encourage the home’s life to awaken and meet you in a more coordinated manner.

2. Relax! Make a place for fresh development by removing excess layers of blankets, carpets, pillows, and old habits and old-fashioned ideas. Prepare three bags or boxes for each part of your house, one for repairing damaged objects or throwing them away, another for donating to charity, and a third for storing stuff for next winter.

3. Plant fresh seeds. Spring, like a garden, is the ideal time to plant fresh seeds of desires/goals/dreams. Ask yourself, “What has started to develop in my life this New Year that I want to concentrate on harvesting?” Then, make a list of them, as well as the actions necessary to bring them to completion, and put them on your calendar.

Feng Shui Can Help You Have a Healthier Spring

Our dwellings may help us achieve excellent health by using the art and understanding of Feng Shui.

The Bagua is the Feng Shui map, and the middle section, where the Tai Chi emblem is found, is the health area. Your living space is the core of your home, and each room is the health area, which requires extra concern and attention, particularly during allergy season. When you analyze the health area of your house or each room, you are dealing with the core of that space, and you should consider the following for appropriate Feng Shui:

• Clear the debris from the area and do a spring cleaning with Feng Shui in mind. You are essentially releasing old energy and bringing in fresh and lively energy. This will help you achieve your goal of having a healthy house for everyone.

• Choose an earth tone or yellow to encourage positive energy for health if it is an area that can be painted or has more color.

• Fill in the blanks with your goals by writing them on earth-toned paper. Be particular and appreciative, extending your good wishes to everyone in your household, not just yourself. “I am really glad that my whole family is happy and healthy,” for example. Place this written intention in your central Health area, either in a book, under a picture or plant, or just on the floor when no one will walk over it.

After you’ve taken care of the core Health area, you may employ Feng Shui to improve your health and welfare across the rest of the house:

• Keep the air in your house free of dust and pollen by cleaning it regularly and using an air filter or ionizer.

• Place healthy potted plants or wind chimes throughout your house to dispel bad chi while playing calm and uplifting music.

• Place a mirror right opposite a window that faces trees and the sky to amplify and enhance the good, healthy energy flowing through the window.

To Establish Harmony, Use the Five Feng Shui Components in Your Environment:

• Earth: Stones, plants, and good soil help boost the earth element’s anchoring balance. Brown and yellow are examples of earth colors.

• Wood: Planting boxes made of wood, or beautiful wooden elements made of wood, such as a carving, bench, or bamboo. Green is the color associated with wood.

• Metal – Windchimes, pots, or copper decorative items Metal colors include white, gold, and silver.

• Water is still or slow-flowing water, such as a fountain, birdbath, pond, or pooled stream. Water is represented by the colors black or blue.

• Fire: candlelight, lanterns, fireplaces, or an outdoor fire pit. The color red is associated with fire.

You may actively boost the energy flow in your surroundings by practicing the healing art of Feng Shui this spring, producing a tranquil, supportive, and healthy atmosphere for you and your family.

Items that Serve a Purpose

However you are welcoming spring, remember it’s important to have in your home and life those things, which you find useful and beautiful and serve your higher purpose, and to declutter from those which are the opposite, you don’t use, do not find useful or helpful or worse still deplete you. Spring is the perfect time to rebalance your home and life.
